SINOPSE: Em Prisioneiro da Madrugada, um grupo de homens armados cercam a Prisão Psiquiátrica Monte Baruca e cortam a comunicação do local com o mundo exterior, encurralando todos que estão no local. O objetivo dos criminosos é capturar Simón Lago ( Luis Callejo), um perigoso assassino em série. Eles demandam que os guardas entreguem o psicopata, afirmando que assim irão embora. Mas Hugo (Alberto Ammann), o diretor da prisão, se nega a obedecer as ordens e se prepara para resistir ao ataque. Sua única ajuda são poucos funcionários que decidem se defender. Mas Hugo não imagina que está se envolvendo em uma violenta conspiração comandada por pessoas extremamente poderosas.
